At Carolina Communication, we specialize in enhancing communication skills, improving social skills, and fostering the development and growth of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in order to empower them to reach their fullest potential.
We are currently enrolling children into our day program, ages 3-6, with a formal diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Clinic hours (after enrollment) are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. Scheduling will be based upon each child’s insurance and individual plan of care.

Speech Therapy
Our team is led by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who has a passion for advancing speech and language skills in children. Communication skills are a vital component of life, and improving these skills often results in improvements in other areas, such as adaptive skills and reducing negative behaviors. Carolina Communication is a communication friendly environment! Thus, children may receive support in speech (articulation), language (receptive and expressive), pragmatic (social) language, as well as augmentative and alternative communication.

- Are you currently enrolling children? Yes. We are currently enrolling children into our day program, ages 3-6, with a formal diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. At the time, we are not enrolling children who only need speech-language services.
- Are you a licensed facility? Yes. We are licensed by the state of NC to provide services to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Do you provide daycare or drop-in care? No.
- Do you perform evaluations to diagnose autism or provide in-home services? No.
- What form of payment is accepted? At this time, we are only accepting NC Medicaid.
- What age range do you serve? We are licensed to serve ages 3-12. Currently, we are enrolling ages 3-6 in order to serve children who are not enrolled in school. We will update our website when there are changes in the criteria for enrollment.
- What are the hours of operation? Following enrollment, clinic hours are 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday. Each child’s plan of treatment may differ, thus the actual times will be discussed during the intake process.
- What is the process to initiate services? Please send an email (see link below) that includes the name and phone number of the person making the request, along with the name and age of the child. A staff member will follow-up to discuss further arrangements.
